Mingish is the music of Charles Mingus performed by Stephanie Nilles on piano, Thomas Deakin on saxophone, Jon Sampson on bass, and Mike Peterson on drums.  These four will join together on a re-imagining of one of America's greatest composers.  Charles Mingus was a teacher, guide, and crucible of tone and voicing.  The artists will join their personalities towards a higher artistic goal, and in this spirit, his compositions will be presented for one night only at Vito's.  They will do their very best.  It will be Mingish.
