The James Band, featuring James Baumgart on guitar, is a straight ahead jazz group that draws from the well of American music.  Though most of the tunes were written before they were born, they are flavored with modern twists of phrasing and rhythm. Sometimes swing, sometimes funky, sometimes moody, at times even hip hop influences emerge; come get down to the joyful noise of The James Band.
